Centerville, North Carolina

Centerville is a town in the rural northeastern corner of Franklin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 89 at the 2010 census, a loss of 10 persons from the previous count of 99 at the 2000 census. There is no post office in Centerville, and thus no zip code; it simply uses that of Louisburg, which is located 12 miles west.

Wood, North Carolina

Wood (formerly, Wood's Store) is a small community in northeastern Franklin County, North Carolina, on North Carolina Highway 561 east of Centerville. Settled in 1893, Wood was incorporated as a town in 1917. The town charter was repealed in 1961. Wood lies at an elevation of 322 feet (98 m).

Warren County PCB Landfill

Warren County PCB Landfill was a PCB landfill located in Warren County, North Carolina near the community of Afton south of Warrenton. The landfill was created in 1982 by the State of North Carolina as a place to dump contaminated soil as result of an illegal PCB dumping incident. The site, which is about 150 acres, was extremely controversial and led to years of lawsuits.

WYFL

WYFL is a noncommercial radio station broadcasting a religious format. Located near Henderson, North Carolina, USA, it serves the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The station is owned by Bible Broadcasting Network. The transmitter and broadcast tower are located about ten miles southeast of Henderson.
