WYSO

WYSO is a radio station in Yellow Springs, Ohio, near Dayton, operated by Antioch University. It is the flagship National Public Radio member station for the Miami Valley, including the cities of Dayton and Springfield. WYSO signed on in 1957 and has the distinction of being located in one of the smallest villages to host an NPR affiliate station.

Yellow Springs High School

Yellow Springs High School is a public high school in Yellow Springs, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Yellow Springs Exempted Village Schools district, teaching grades 9-12. McKinney Middle School is the district's only secondary school, teaching grades 7 & 8. Mills Lawn Elementary is the district's only primary school, teaching kindergarten and grades 1-6. Their mascot is a bulldog. They are part of the Metro Buckeye Conference in Ohio.

Antioch University

Antioch University is an American private university with five campuses located in four states. Campuses are located in Los Angeles, California; Santa Barbara, California; Keene, New Hampshire; Yellow Springs, Ohio; and Seattle, Washington. Additionally, Antioch University houses two institution-wide programs, the Ph.D. in Leadership and Change and Antioch Education Abroad.

Yellow Springs, Ohio

Yellow Springs is a village in Greene County, Ohio, United States, and is the location of Antioch College and Antioch University Midwest. The population was 3,487 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Battle of Chillicothe

The Battle of Chillicothe was part of the western theater of the American Revolutionary War. In May 1779, Colonel John Bowman of the Kentucky County militia, accompanied by Benjamin Logan and Levi Todd, led between 160 and 300 militiamen against the Shawnee town of Chillicothe. Dividing their forces, Bowman and Logan attacked the town from two sides but were eventually repulsed.
