Sand Springs, Oklahoma

Sand Springs is a city in Osage and Tulsa counties in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. A suburb of Tulsa, it is located predominantly in Tulsa County. The population was 18,906 in the 2010 U. S. Census, an increase of 8.3 percent from 17,451 at the 2000 census. The city was founded in 1911, by Oklahoma philanthropist Charles Page, who envisioned Sand Springs as a haven for orphans and widows. He helped found and develop Sand Springs as a model city that included all components of a total community.

KTSO

KTSO is a Classic Hits station licensed to Glenpool, Oklahoma, serving the Tulsa, Oklahoma area at 94.1 FM. The station is owned by Times-Shamrock Communications. KTSO brands itself as "The SOund". The call letters also signify a previous format, Tulsa's Soft Oldies. Prior to that format, the station was licensed to Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and aired a range of formats, including classical music. On November 22, 2012 KTSO started play all Christmas music. KRAV was Tulsa's Official Christmas Station.

KXOJ-FM

KXOJ-FM is a contemporary Christian formatted radio station licensed to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and serving the greater Tulsa area. It is part of the Stephens Media Group, (no relation to the newspaper owner) and has been on the air since 1977. KXOJ broadcasts from a tiny (by modern broadcasting standards) 361-foot tower near Sapulpa. Combined with its 5,000-watt ERP, this results in a much weaker signal compared to the other major Tulsa stations.
