Camp White
Camp White was an Army training base in Jackson County, Oregon, United States, during World War II. It was also the site of a prisoner-of-war (POW) camp. The camp was named in honor of George A. White, who served as adjutant general for Oregon starting in 1915. The camp was dedicated September 15, 1942. Many of the troops trained at Camp White participated in the Oregon Maneuver combat exercise in the fall of 1943. The camp was deactivated in April 1946.

Agate Desert
The Agate Desert is a prairie (and not a true desert) located Jackson County, Oregon, United States, in the area of White City. Much of the World War II army training base Camp White was built in the Agate Desert. The Nature Conservancy is working to preserve part of the Agate Desert as a native Rogue River Valley grassland. The area's vernal pools contain a rare species of fairy shrimp and are the only known place where the endangered big-flowered woolly meadowfoam grows.

Southern Oregon Speedway
Southern Oregon Speedway is a 3/8-mile banked dirt race track located near White City, Oregon, United States. The speedway is part of the Jackson County Sports Park, which also contains a shooting range, a dragstrip, and a go-kart track. The track operates on a weekly basis from April through October each year, weather permitting. It features several classes of race cars: Mini Stock, Super 4, Pro Stock, Dwarf, and Modified.
