Erie Triangle

The Erie Triangle is a tract of American land that was the subject of several competing colonial-era claims and which was eventually acquired by the U.S. federal government and sold to Pennsylvania so that the state would have access to a freshwater port on Lake Erie. The Erie Triangle land makes up a large portion of present-day Erie County, Pennsylvania. Most of northwestern Pennsylvania came under American control following the 1784 Treaty of Fort Stanwix with the Iroquois Confederacy.

Millcreek Mall

The Millcreek Mall or Millcreek Mall Complex is a one-level shopping center located 3.4 miles southwest of downtown Erie, Pennsylvania, between Peach Street and Interstate 79, in Millcreek Township. The center is often cited as being the eight-largest shopping mall in the United States. The complex opened in 1975 and was developed by the Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Company, who still own and operate it.

Ainsworth Field

Ainsworth Field is a 3,000 seat baseball stadium located in Erie, Pennsylvania. It hosted the Erie Sailors and other Erie based minor league teams between 1928 and 1994. In 1995, it was made obsolete for professional use by the opening of Jerry Uht Park. It was refurbished in 2004 and is currently used for high school and other amateur baseball games.

Central Tech High School

Central Tech School is a high school in Erie, Pennsylvania in the United States. The attendance is roughly 1,000 students. Currently it is the Erie School District's regional vocational-technical school. Central offers 21 Career and Technical courses. The schools mascot is a Falcon. When occupancy of newly built Academy High School was delayed in the fall of 1919, those students shared facilities with Central through June 1920.
