Newfoundland, Pennsylvania

Newfoundland (pronounced "new-FOUND-lind") is a small, unincorporated community in Dreher Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is home to the South Elementary school of the Wallenpaupack Area School District. The South Elementary currently houses Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Two emergency services are headquartered in Newfoundland. Newfoundland Area Ambulance Association and the Greene-Dreher Volunteer Fire Association.

Lake Wallenpaupack

Lake Wallenpaupack is a reservoir in Pennsylvania, USA. It was created in 1926 by PPL, the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company, for hydroelectric purposes. It is located near Hawley, on the border of Pike and Wayne counties in northeastern Pennsylvania. The Lenape Indians named the area "Wallenpaupack" which means "The Stream of Swift and Slow Water.

Panther is an unincorporated community in Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. Panther was originally located between the towns of Canadensis, La Anna, and Newfoundland. The current zip code is 18445 and all mail services now originate in Newfoundland, PA. The once post office is now a residence. There is little that remains of the original post office and general store after a fire nearly destroyed the entire building.
