Hendersonville, Tennessee

Hendersonville is a city in Sumner County, Tennessee, on Old Hickory Lake. The population was 51,372 at the 2010 census. Hendersonville is part of the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area and is located 18 miles northeast of downtown Nashville. The city was settled around 1784 by Daniel Smith, and is named for William Henderson. In 2009 Hendersonville was named as one of the ten best cities for families by Family Circle Magazine.

Hendersonville Memory Gardens

Hendersonville Memory Gardens located at 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville, Tennessee, USA was formerly known as Woodlawn Memorial Park East. Located a few miles northeast of Nashville, it is the burial site of Johnny Cash as well as several members of the singing Carter Family and other stars from the country music world.

Trinity Music City

Trinity Music City, formerly Twitty City, is an entertainment complex in Hendersonville, Tennessee. It was the home of singer Conway Twitty until his death in 1993. It was famous for its lavish Christmas decorations, and includes the Conway Twitty Mansion and Memorial Gardens. Since Twitty's death, it has been converted into a Christian music venue owned by the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Old Hickory, Tennessee

Old Hickory is a section of metropolitan Nashville named in honor of President Andrew Jackson who was nicknamed "Old Hickory. " This area is located in the Hadley Bend section of eastern Davidson County. The area is probably best known for being a former company town as the site of a large DuPont plant. Many of the houses in Old Hickory were built to house Dupont employees and supervisors in the early days of the factory's existence.
