American Canal

The American Canal is an irrigation canal in the Upper Rio Grande Valley near El Paso, Texas. The canal acquires water from the Rio Grande from the American Diversion Dam at the Texas-New Mexico-Mexico border, 2 miles northwest of El Paso. The canal travels along the Rio Grande for 2.1 miles where it flows into the Franklin Canal and the rest of the canal network.

Pearland Stadium

Pearland Stadium (nicknamed The Rig) is an American multi-use stadium in Pearland, Texas. The 9,200-capacity stadium is on the campus of Pearland High School and serves as home to the school's football, soccer, and track and field teams. In addition, it is home to the Houston Energy, a team in the Independent Women's Football League, who used to play at Houston's Astrodome stadium. The stadium is nicknamed The Rig after oil rigs as oil is a large part of the Texas economy.

Brio Superfund site

The Brio Superfund site is a former industrial location in Harris County, Texas located at the intersection of Beamer and Dixie Farm Road, about 20 miles South East of Houston and adjacent to the Dixie Oil Processors Superfund Site. It is a federal Superfund site, although it was deleted from the National Priorities List in December 2006. A neighboring residential subdivision called South Bend (now abandoned) was located along the north of the northern boundary of Brio North.
