Emerald Lake (Utah)

Emerald Lake is a small lake near the summit of Mount Timpanogos in Utah's Wasatch Range. It is northeast of the summit, at the base of the almost vertical northeast face of the mountain. The now mostly vanished and now buried Timpanogos Glacier left behind a terminal moraine which now impounds the lake. The runoff from the rock glacier feeds the lake and colors it blue.

Vivian Park, Utah

Vivian Park is an unincorporated community in Utah County, Utah, United States. It is located in Provo Canyon northeast of Provo. When Thomas S. Monson was a child he would spend summers from the 4th of July to Labor Day at Vivian Park. He still owns the family cabin there.

Deer Creek Dam and Reservoir

The Deer Creek Dam and Reservoir hydroelectric facilities are located on the Provo River in western Wasatch County, about 16 miles northeast of Provo, Utah. The dam is a zoned earthfill structure 235 feet high with a crest length of 1,304 ft . The dam contains 2,810,000 cubic yards (2,150,000 m³) of material and forms a reservoir of 152,570 acre foot capacity. Construction of the project began in May 1938 and was completed in 1941.

Bridal Veil Falls (Utah)

Bridal Veil Falls is a 607-foot-tall double cataract waterfall in the south end of Provo Canyon, in Utah, United States. An aerial tramway service to the top of the falls was built in 1967 and the small, six-passenger tramway functioned as a recreational attraction and as the only access (except via helicopter) to a restaurant built by Groneman Construction situated on a cliff at the top of the falls until an avalanche destroyed the tram in early 1996.
