Skull Valley Indian Reservation

Dugway High School

Dugway High School is a school in Dugway, Utah. The current principal is Robin Nielson. The school is part of the Tooele County School District. The school mascot is the Dugway Mustangs. Sports provided at DHS include baseball, track/field, cross-country running, girls volleyball, and basketball. Although the school has a football field on campus, it does not have a football program for students.

Deseret Peak

Deseret Peak is the highest peak in the Stansbury Mountains. It is located in the Deseret Peak Wilderness area west of Grantsville, Utah and east of Skull Valley Indian Reservation. The site is a popular destination for hikers as the area is a contrast of the alpine wilderness with the surrounding desert basin. The trail that leads to the peak is easily accessible from Salt Lake City.

High Resolution Fly's Eye Cosmic Ray Detector

The High Resolution Fly's Eye or HiRes detector was an ultra-high-energy cosmic ray observatory that operated in the western Utah desert from May 1997 until April 2006. HiRes utilized the atmospheric fluorescence technique that was pioneered by the Utah group first in tests at the Volcano Ranch experiment and then with the original Fly's Eye experiment. Dr. Pierre Sokolsky and Dr. George Cassidy, both of the University of Utah, received the 2007 Panofsky Prize for their work on this.
