Willapa Bay

Willapa Bay is a bay located on the southwest Pacific coast of Washington state in the United States. The Long Beach Peninsula separates Willapa Bay from the greater expanse of the Pacific Ocean. With over 260 square miles of water surface Willapa Bay is the second largest estuary on the United States Pacific coast. Early settlers called the bay Shoalwater Bay and this name is found on old maps and charts of the region.

Leadbetter Point

Leadbetter Point is a point on the northwest coast of Pacific County in the state of Washington in the United States. It lies at the southern side of the entrance to Willapa Bay. Leadbetter Point is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:46|39|0|N|124|3|40|W|region:US_type:isle | |name= }}. It was named in 1852 by James Alden for fellow U.S. Coast Survey officer Danville Leadbetter.
