Chewelah is a city in Stevens County, Washington, United States. Chewelah was labeled Chiel-Charle-Mous on the 1897 U. S. Land Office Map. The population was 2,607 at the 2010 census which was a 19.3% increase over the 2000 census.

Addy, Washington

Addy is an unincorporated community in Stevens County, Washington, United States. Addy was first settled in 1851 by Magnus Flett, a Hudson Bay Company, employee, after he retired to the Addy area. Thomas Stensgar retired from the Hudson Bay Company in 1852 and obtained the first homestead in the area in 1867. Addy became the stop between Chewelah and Colville on the Spokane Falls and Northern Railroad at the end of March 1892. Addy was platted by G. Fatzer in 1893.

Stevens County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. It is named for the first governor of Washington Territory, Isaac Stevens. As of the 2010 census, its population was 43,531. The county seat is at Colville, which is also the county's largest city. Stevens County was created on January 20, 1863.
