Port Ludlow, Washington

Port Ludlow is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Washington, United States. It is also the name of the marine inlet on which the CDP is located. The CDP's population was 1,968 at the 2000 census. Originally a logging and sawmill community, its economy declined during the first half of the 20th century.

Shine Tidelands State Park

Shine Tidelands State Park in Jefferson County, Washington is one of the Washington State Parks. It consists of 13 acres of tidelands with 5,000 feet of saltwater shoreline on Bywater Bay 7 miles south of Port Ludlow. At high tide, there is very little beach above water. Available activities include fishing, clamming, crabbing, beachcombing, birdwatching, windsurfing, and wildlife viewing.

Foulweather Bluff

Foulweather Bluff is a cliff that lies on the north end of the Kitsap Peninsula along Puget Sound, on the east side of the entrance to the Hood Canal. It is one of the most prominent cliffs in Puget Sound. The north face, which is bare, is ⁄2-mile wide and consists of vertical, grayish sand and clay bluffs. The highest cliff is 225 feet high, sloping off to the east to a bluff 40 feet high. On the Hood Canal side, the point is steep and high.

Kinney Point State Park

Kinney Point State Park in Jefferson County, Washington is a marine camping park in the Washington State Park System. It consists of 76 acres with 683 feet of saltwater shoreline at the south end of Marrowstone Island. Campsites are restricted to visitors arriving by human- or wind-powered watercraft. Available activities include boating, fishing, clamming, and crabbing. The park is part of the Cascadia Marine Trail.

Point Hannon

Point Hannon, also known as Whiskey Spit, is a 7.7-acre sand spit with 1,775 feet of no-bank shoreline, jutting out from the eastern edge of Hood Head, in the Hood Canal of the state of Washington. For surface navigation, Point Hannon is marked by a light. The low sandy spit with shoal water extends about 600 feet east of the light. The open waters to the North of the spit, are among the deepest in Puget Sound.
