Ohio County, West Virginia

Ohio County is a county located in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Formed from the District of West Augusta, Virginia, in 1776. It was named for the Ohio River which forms its western boundary. West Liberty (formerly Black's Cabin) was the county seat from 1777 to 1797. The city of Wheeling, West Virginia, has been the county seat since that time. As of 2010, the population was 44,443. Ohio County is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia, metropolitan area.

West Alexander, Pennsylvania

West Alexander is a census-designated place in Donegal Township, Washington County in the state of Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 604 at the 2010 census. At the 2000 census the population was 320 at which time it was a borough. The borough was dissolved into surrounding Donegal Township, effective January 1, 2009.

Triadelphia, West Virginia

Triadelphia is a town in Ohio County, West Virginia, United States. It is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 811 at the 2010 census. Triadelphia was originally chartered in 1829. The name Triadelphia was adopted from the Greek word meaning three brothers, and probably named for the three sons of Colonel Josias Thompson, who donated the land upon which the town was originally laid out.
