Thủ Dầu Một is the capital city of Bình Dương Province, Vietnam, located at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:10|58|0|N|106|39|0|E|region:VN_type:city | |name= }}. The city has an area of 118.66 km², population is 244,277 (2012), and is located 20 km north of downtown Hồ Chí Minh City, on the left bank of the Saigon River, upstream from the city. Operation Babylift

Operation Babylift was the name given to the mass evacuation of children from South Vietnam to the United States and other countries at the end of the Vietnam War (see also the Fall of Saigon), from April 3–26, 1975. By the final American flight out of South Vietnam, over 3,300 infants and children had been evacuated, although the actual number has been variously reported. Along with Operation New Life, over 110,000 refugees were evacuated from South Vietnam at the end of the Vietnam War.
