Delegate River Diversion Tunnel

The Delegate River Diversion Tunnel is a Victorian gold rush diversion tunnel on the Delegate River in east Gippsland, Victoria, Australia - approximately 70 km north-east of Orbost . The river eventually runs through the township of Delegate, New South Wales which is the water supply for the town. The tunnel is approximately 60 m long and diverts the river away from its original course.

Delegate, New South Wales

Delegate is a small town in New South Wales, Australia in Bombala Shire, 523 kilometres south of the state capital, Sydney. Delegate lies just a few kilometres from the state border between New South Wales and Victoria. At the 2006 census, Delegate had a population of 306 people. The township of Delegate lies on the Delegate River. The place name, Delegate, could have derived from an aboriginal word meaning "high mountains".
