Upotipotpon, Victoria

Upotipotpon was a very small town and is now a rural area in Victoria, Australia, 208 kilometres north east of the state capital, Melbourne and 27 kilometres km north of Violet Town. The name perhaps may have been derived from Aboriginal words pootong pootong, meaning "plenty of grass". The name was used for a pastoral property taken up in 1841 between the Broken River and Stony Creek. In 1911 the population was 240 and in 1933 it was 131.

Baddaginnie is a small town in Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Albury-Wodonga railway line, in the Rural City of Benalla, 12 kilometres south-west of Benalla itself on the old Hume Highway. It is situated in mainly flat unforested country, one kilometre west of Baddaginnie Creek. At the 2006 census, Baddaginnie and the surrounding area had a population of 460.

Baddaginnie railway station

Baddaginnie is a closed station located in the township of Baddaginnie, on the North East railway in Victoria, Australia. The station had a single platform to the west of the broad gauge line, with the standard gauge line running parallel to it. The station opened on 19 June 1882 for goods and on 3 July the same year for passenger traffic.

Major Plains is a rural locality situated to the north-west of Benalla in Victoria, Australia. It is 226 kilometres by road from Melbourne. The main east-west roads in the locality are Dookie-Devenish Road, Major Plains Road and Gooroombat-Dookie College Road (Thomas Road), while the main north-south roads are Duggans Road, Benalla Boundary Road (which divides the local government areas) and Roberts Road. A primary school operated in the locality between 1918 and 1946.
