Mount Victoria Forest Reserve

Mount Victoria Reserve is a temperate rainforest area in the North East portion of the Australian state of Tasmania. It is of acknowledged conservation significance and was identified as a high priority Recommended Area for Protection (RAP) by authorities during the 1980s and protected as part of the Comprehensive and Representative (CAR) Reserve system touted by Tasmanian State and Federal Australian Governments as securing conservation values.

Ben Lomond National Park

The Ben Lomond National Park is located in the northeast of the Australian state of Tasmania, about 50 km east of Launceston. The park has an area of 18,192 ha and was established on 23 July 1947. It is classified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area because it supports populations of the Flame Robin and of at least ten Tasmanian endemic bird species, for which it is a representative protected area in north-eastern Tasmania.

Ben Lomond (Tasmania)

Ben Lomond is a plateau in the north of Tasmania. It is east of Launceston in the Ben Lomond National Park. Tasmania's premier Alpine skiing operations are located at Ben Lomond with downhill skiing facilities in the State. Its accessibility from Launceston, together with the existence of a ski village on the plateau make Ben Lomond an all year round favourite for tourists and hikers.

Cornwall Land District

Cornwall Land District is one of the twenty land districts of Tasmania which are part of the Cadastral divisions of Tasmania. It contains most of Launceston. It was formerly Cornwall County, one of the 18 counties of Tasmania and one of the first eleven proclaimed in 1836. It was named after the then southwestern county of England. An earlier Cornwall County existed from 24 September 1804 until 1813 as an administrative division whilst Van Diemen's Land was administered as two units.
