Division of Indi

The Division of Indi is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. It is located in north-eastern Victoria. Its northern border is formed by the Murray River (which also serves as the Victorian-New South Wales border). It is bounded to the south-east by the Division of Gippsland, the border being roughly the watershed separating the Murray basin from Gippsland's catchment in the remote and almost completely uninhabited Australian Alps.

The Shire of Myrtleford was a local government area about 280 kilometres northeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of 800 square kilometres, and existed from 1960 until 1994.

Everton, Victoria

Everton is a small town located 20 kilometres from Wangaratta in northeast Victoria, along the Great Alpine Road. At the 2006 census, Everton and the surrounding area had a population of 274. Attractions of the town and area include the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail (a sealed off-road bicycle path offering 95 kilometres of cycling along former railway tracks), wineries, and the Victorian High Country. Everton Post Office opened in 1876 and closed in 1965.

Ovens, Victoria

Ovens is a small town in north east Victoria, Australia located at the junction of the Ovens River and Happy Valley Creek. At the 2006 census, Ovens and the surrounding area had a population of 130. It is 4 kilometres south east of Myrtleford heading towards Bright and is the home of the Happy Valley Hotel and Souter's Vineyard. The area is part of the Alpine Valleys Wine region, and was formerly used for tobacco plantations. Ovens acts as a bypass to many of the local snow fields.
