Waranga Basin

Waranga Basin is a reservoir forming part of the Goulburn River irrigation system in Victoria, Australia. It is located in Shire of Campaspe near the City of Greater Shepparton and is located near the townships of Tatura, Rushworth and Murchison. It covers an area of 58.5 square kilometres at full capacity.

Goulburn Weir

Goulburn Weir is a weir built between 1887 and early 1891 across the Goulburn River near Nagambie, Victoria, Australia. It was the first major diversion structure built for irrigation development in Australia. The weir also forms Lake Nagambie where rowing regattas and waterskiing tournaments are held. The Goulburn Weir allows water to be diverted by gravity via the Stuart Murray Canal and Cattanach Canal for off river storage in the Waranga basin, for later use in irrigation.

County of Rodney, Victoria

The County of Rodney is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. It is located between the Goulburn River in the east, and the Campaspe River in the west, with a small part of the Murray River to the north. Puckapunyal is near its southern edge. There is the Electoral district of Rodney in a similar area.
