Pintharuka, Western Australia

Pintharuka is an abandoned townsite in the Mid West region of Western Australia. The town is located between the towns of Morawa and Mullewa on the Mullewa-Wubin Road During the planning of the railway to be constructed between Mullewa and Wongan Hills in 1912 the local progress association requested that a townsite be surveyed at the siding that was to be built in the present townsite. The name of the siding was chosen as Pintharika in 1913 and the townsite was gazetted later the same year.

Shire of Morawa

The Shire of Morawa is a local government area in the Mid West region of Western Australia, about 170 kilometres east-southeast of the city of Geraldton and about 390 kilometres north of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 3,516 square kilometres, and its seat of government is the town of Morawa.

Gutha, Western Australia

Gutha is a townsite in the Mid West region of Western Australia, 32 kilometres north of Morawa. In 1913 it was decided to establish a train station there, on the Wongan Hills – Mullewa railway. The district surveyor suggested the name "Muthingutha", the Aboriginal name of a nearby rockhole. This was shortened to Gutha by the Lands Department, and Gutha siding was established in 1913. It was gazetted as a townsite in 1914. The surrounding areas produce wheat and other cereal crops.

Bowgada, Western Australia

Bowgada is a small town in Western Australia located on the Mullewa Wubin Road 366 kilometres north of Perth in the Mid West Region The townsite was gazetted as Chubble in 1913 but changed to Bowgada in 1914. Bowgada is an Indigenous Australian word used to describe a bush that is found in the local area from the Acacia ramulosa. The town was originally a railway siding for cropping and stock, two industries that still thrive in the area.
