Carcross railway station

Carcross railway station in Carcross, Yukon, Canada is a railway station which is used by the White Pass and Yukon Railway train service. The station is the northernmost terminus for passenger railway services on the line, with connecting bus services to Whitehorse, Yukon. The building was designated a national heritage railway station in 1991. The building was originally built in 1910 for the White Pass & Yukon Railway, being in service from 1910 until 1982.

Nares Lake

Nares Lake is a lake in the southern Yukon between Bennett Lake and Tagish Lake. This lake lies below Nares Mountain. Nares Lake is actually an arm of Tagish Lake. The community of Carcross, Yukon is on the Nares Narrows between Bennett and Tagish Lake, along the Klondike Highway. Named after Admiral George Nares.

Spirit Lake (Yukon)

Spirit Lake is a lake in the southern Yukon about 70 km south of Whitehorse. The lake is situated just off the Klondike Highway. The lake has emerald green colors. The distinct crater-like holes on the lake bottom were shaped by glaciers which retreated thousands of years ago.

Montana Mountain

Montana Mountain is a deeply eroded Late Cretaceous stratovolcano located south of Carcross, Yukon, Canada. As well as its main peak, the mountain includes many sub-peaks and contains felsic pyroclastics and flows; typically altered and orange-weathering. Montana Mountain was formed when the ancient Kula Plate was subducting under southwestern Yukon during the Late Cretaceous period. A flurry of quartz mining activity took place on Montana Mountain in the early 1900s.
