Gare de Lille Europe

Lille-Europe is a railway station in Lille, France. It is primarily used for high-speed Eurostar and TGV services although some regional trains also call at the station. The station was built in 1993 to be used as a through station for trains between the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as French TGV services, except those coming from Paris which normally terminate at Lille Flandres. There is a 500 m walking distance between the two stations.

École des arts industriels et des mines

École des arts industriels et des mines is the name used during the Second French Empire to designate the French engineering school established in 1854 in Lille, North of France. It succeeded to the municipal chairs of experimental physics, applied chemistry and mechanics that were established in 1817. Its heir as a graduate engineering school is École Centrale de Lille.

Hospice Comtesse

Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lille

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lille is an archdiocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in France. Erected in 1913 as the Diocese of Lille, the archdiocese encompasses the arrondissements of Dunkerque and Lille, within the department of Nord in the Region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. The current Archbishop of Lille is Laurent Bernard Marie Ulrich, appointed in February 2008; he is one of the two vice presidents of the Conference of Bishops of France.

Lille Cathedral

Lille Cathedral, the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Treille, is a Roman Catholic cathedral and basilica, and a national monument of France, located in the city of Lille. It has been the seat of the Bishop of Lille since the creation of the diocese in 1913, although construction of the church of Notre Dame de la Treille began in 1854. The church takes its name from a 12th century statue of the Virgin Mary.
