The battle of the Göhrde was a battle of the War of the Sixth Coalition on 18 September 1813 between Napoleonic and Coalition troops at Göhrde in Germany. The Napoleonic troops were defeated and withdrew to Hamburg.

Darchau Ferry

The Darchau Ferry is a ferry across the Elbe river in Germany. It crosses between Darchau and Neu Darchau, both in the state of Lower Saxony, and is about 80 kilometres south-east of the city of Hamburg. The ferry boat currently in operation is the Tanja (ex Waal, ex Wijkse Veer).
