Kongad is a medium-sized town in Palakkad district in the South Indian state of Kerala, and is 20 km north-west of Palakkad town. Nearby towns include Karimpuzha in the west, Mannarakkad in the north, Mundur in the east and Lakkidi and Mankara in the south. The nearest airport is at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu state. Mankurussi or Mankurissi is a small town near Palakkad in the state of Kerala in southern India. It is in the mid-way between Palakkad and Ottapalam, located 17 KM from Palakkad town in the Palakkad-Ponnani State Highway. Karimpuzha (Palakkad)
Karimpuzha is a village in Ottapalam taluk, Palakkad district. The Karimpuzha River is one of the tributaries of the Bharathapuzha River. Bharathapuzha is the fourth longest riverin Kerala, south India. A famous Sree Rama Swamy Temple is situated on the banks of this River. Temple was owned by Kozhikode Samoodhiripad. Eralpad, the heir to become Samoodhiri, had his "Kovilakam" in Karimpuzha. The Sree Ramaswamy temple is now known as "Dakshina Ayodhya".
