Hatlestad Slide

The Hatlestad Slide was a slide of mud and rock which occurred in the early morning of September 14, 2005 in a rural area in Bergen, Norway, as a result of heavy rainfall. The slide killed three people, wounded seven, and displaced many more, as it hit a row of residential houses in its path while the houses' occupants were asleep.

Fana Church

Fana Church is located in Fanahammeren in the borough of Fana in Bergen, Norway. The existing stone building celebrated 850 years anniversary in 2003, but the church building history is long and complicated. Historians assert that the church has been rebuilt and enlarged several times. Fana Church was mentioned in writings for the first time in 1228, when Pope Gregory IX released a conscription to the vicar and brothers at "the holy cross church and hospital in Fana".

Lyse Abbey

Lyse Abbey or Saint Mary's Abbey, Lyse is a now-ruined Cistercian monastery in Os in the county of Hordaland in south-western Norway. The name "Lyse" is derived from the Lysefjorden, "the fjord of light", on which the building stood.

Nordvik is a settlement in the municipalities of Bergen and Os in the county of Hordaland, Norway. As of January 1, 2008, the population of the Nordvik urban area is 429, of which 383 people live in Bergen and 46 in Os. The urban area covers a land area of 0.42 square kilometres, and has a population density of 1021 per square kilometre.
