Shakidor Dam
Shakidor Dam (also "Shadikor") was a small dam located near Pasni in Balochistan province of Pakistan. The dam is 485 metres long. It was constructed in 2003 at a cost of 45 million Pakistani Rupees to provide irrigation for nearby farms. On February 10, 2005, the dam burst due to heavy flooding caused by excessive rainfall, resulting in the deaths of around 70 villagers due to drowning and dragging their bodies into the Arabian Sea.

It is one of the two active Naval Air Arm's bases (other one being PNS Mehran) and is currently headquarter to the Pakistan Navy's Alouette III and Lynx helicopters. The military site is consisted of 968 acres of airfield plus 15 acres of land is located Gorani, also owned by the Navy.

It is located on the Makran coast on Arabian Sea about 300 km from Karachi. Administratively, Pasni is the headquarters of the Pasni sub-division of Gwadar district that includes Pasni and Ormara Tehsils (tehsil - county) as well as Astola Island which lies 40 km ESE of Pasni, in the Arabian Sea.
