Taiwan Province

Taiwan Province is one of the two administrative divisions of the Republic of China (ROC) that are officially referred to as "provinces". The province covers approximately 73% of the territory of the ROC, with around 40% of the total population. 2013 Nantou earthquake

The 2013 Nantou earthquake was a magnitude 6.0 Mw earthquake which struck central Taiwan on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 10:03 a.m. local time. The epicenter was located in mountainous terrain in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan, not far from Sun Moon Lake. News reports indicate that a 72-year-old woman was killed by being crushed by a collapsing wall and 86 people were injured as a result of the earthquake. Most of the injuries were in Taichung.
