They are located 8 miles north of the town of Richmond and 10 miles south west of Darlington, close to Scotch Corner and the remains of the Roman fort and bridge at Piercebridge.

The A67 is a road in England that links Bowes in County Durham with Crathorne in North Yorkshire.
