Trent College

Trent College is a co-educational independent day and boarding school located in Long Eaton, Derbyshire between Nottingham and Derby. Founded in 1868 as a local "middle class alternative" to the more famous public schools, it is now a coeducational school and a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference. It has over 1000 pupils including 760 pupils in the Senior School and 330 pupils in the Junior School.

Trent railway station

Trent railway station was situated near Long Eaton in Derbyshire at the junction of the Midland Railway line from London to Derby and Nottingham. It was unusual in that it did not serve any community, being simply an interchange. Forty years following closure, East Midlands Parkway railway station was opened for functionally similar purposes.

Toton TMD

Toton Traction Maintenance Depot (Nottinghamshire) is one of the largest rail depots in the United Kingdom. Toton TMD is bordered by Long Eaton and Sandiacre in Derbyshire and Toton in Nottinghamshire. The official depot code for Toton TMD is TO, previously shed code 18A. Toton TMD is the proposed site for the "East Midlands" station, on the Leeds branch of High Speed 2, Phase Two.
