RAF Chipping Ongar

Royal Air Force Station Chipping Ongar or more simply RAF Chipping Ongar is a former Royal Air Force station in Essex, England. The airfield is located approximately 2 miles northeast of Chipping Ongar; about 20 miles northeast of London Opened in 1943, it was used by both the Royal Air Force (RAF) and United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). During the war it was used primarily as a bomber airfield.

High Ongar Primary School

High Ongar Primary School is a primary school located in High Ongar, Essex, England. Founded in 1871, it is situated in a Grade II listed building. The main school building is in the High Ongar Conservation Area. The school has secured the Healthy Schools Award, Activemark, and a Financial Management Standards in Schools Award. Following their July 2009 inspection, Ofsted rated the school Good, point two on a four point scale.

Ongar Rural District

Ongar Rural District was a local government district in Essex, England from 1894 to 1955. It included the small town of Chipping Ongar and the parishes surrounding it. It was abolished in 1955 and combined with part of Epping Rural District to create Epping and Ongar Rural District.

Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker
