Norwell, Nottinghamshire

Norwell is a village and parish near Newark-upon-Trent, in central Nottinghamshire, England. It is close to the border with Lincolnshire, and approximately 1.5 miles from the A1 road and from the River Trent. The village appears in the Domesday Book as Nortwelle. There is a medieval parish church dedicated to St Laurence. There is a public house called 'the Plough', a school and a village hall.

Caunton

Caunton is a village in the Newark and Sherwood district of Nottinghamshire on the A616, six miles north-west of Newark-on-Trent in the NG23 postcode. The Village is also well known for Dean Hole who is buried in the church yard and lived there, he was also the village vicar for a short while before getting his Dean-ship. He lived the manor. The manor is a very extensive house which now has its own equestrian centre and a mini golf course. St. Andrew's Church is the village church.

Ossington

Ossington is a village in the county of Nottinghamshire, England 7 miles north of Newark on Trent. It is centred around the site of Ossington Hall, the ancestral home of the Denison family. The house was demolished in 1964 and all that remains are a few out-buildings and the private chapel which now serves the parish as Holy Rood Church, Ossington.

Newark Rural District

Newark was a rural district in Nottinghamshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was formed by the Local Government Act 1894 from the Newark rural sanitary district. The district was long and thin, being far more distance from the far north to the far south than it was lengthwise, as much of the Newark RSD had been in Lincolnshire, and went to form the Claypole Rural District.
