Culcreuch Castle

Culcreuch Castle is a Scottish castle close to the village of Fintry, near Loch Lomond. It has been the home of the Barons of Culcreuch since 1699, was turned into a hotel, venue and visitor attraction in the 1980s.

Fintry Hills

The Fintry Hills form the western end of a range of hills which stretch west from the city of Stirling, Scotland. They culminate in the 511-metre peak of Stronend, which overlooks the village of Fintry. Like the neighbouring Gargunnock Hills they are composed of volcanic rocks, mainly lavas and tuffs erupted in the Carboniferous period.

Meikle Bin

Meikle Bin is a member of the Kilsyth Hills (not the Campsie Fells as commonly stated) in Scotland. It is the largest of the group at 570m and with that height it is classified as a Marilyn. The hill is a prominent local landmark for the peoples of the towns surrounding the Kilsyth Hills. It has claimed the lives of many pilots, many of whom were not expecting a hill so large to be in the location it is.
