Barr River, Morvern
Barr River is a short watercourse in Morvern in the Scottish Highlands. Its principal tributaries are the Allt Ghleann Sleibhtecoire and the Allt na Lice Beithe which rise on open moorland to the south and flow north amongst coniferous plantations. The river enters the tidal Loch Teacus at Poll Achadh Luachrach.

Today, the Isle of Càrna is the last remaining part of a once huge 26,000-acre acre deer forest, river and grousemoor bought in 1870 by the three Newton brothers, T. H. Goodwin, William III, and Canon Horace Newton of Barrells Hall and Holmwood, Redditch, ancestors of the current family, who are also of direct Milward's Needles descent.

Kinlochaline Castle
Kinlochaline Castle is a 12th century Scottish fortress on the Ardtornish estate in Morvern in the Highland council area. It is also known as Caisteal an Ime (Scottish Gaelic for Castle of Butter) because a Lady of Clan MacInnes, Dubh Chal (Lady of the Black Veil), is said to have paid the builder with butter equal to the volume of the castle.
