A863 road

The A863 road is one of the principal roads of the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of mainland Scotland. It connects the town of Dunvegan and the north west of the island with the A87 that then crosses the Skye Bridge for access to the mainland road system. The A863 is some 23 miles in length.

Tarner Island

Tarner Island is a triangular shaped island in Loch Bracadale just off the coast off the Harlosh peninsula of Skye in Scotland. It is about 28 hectares in extent. The coastline is largely cliff-lined and rocky and there is a natural arch to the north. Tarner Island is only about 1 kilometre from mainland Skye and there are several skerries including Sgeir Mhòr and Sgeir Bheag that lies just offshore to the north east between the island and Colbost Head.

Oronsay, Loch Bracadale

Oronsay is a tidal island in Loch Bracadale on the west coast of Skye, Scotland. At low water the island is connected to Ullinish Point on Skye.

Harlosh Island

Harlosh Island is an island in Loch Bracadale just off the coast of the Minginish and Harlosh peninsulas of Skye in Scotland. The island is about 34 hectares in extent and the coastline, which is largely cliff-lined, has a cave on the west coast. At low tide it is only about 100 metres from mainland Skye. Harlosh Skerry lies just offshore to the north west. The name "Harlosh" is of Old Norse origin and may refer to a river mouth, although the meaning is not clear.

Wiay, Skye

Wiay is an uninhabited island in Loch Bracadale in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Wiay lies west of the Isle of Skye, 1.4 kilometres off the Skye coast, near the village of Ullinish. It is the largest island in Loch Bracadale, with an area of 148 hectares . Most of the coastline consists of vertical cliffs and the southern bluff is a striking overhanging cliff. The island has been uninhabited since the late 19th century.
