Loch Sween

Loch Sween is a sea loch located near Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Castle Sween is located on the southern shore towards the seaward end of the loch. The village of Tayvallich, a favoured haven for water craft as it sits at the head of sheltered Loch a' Bhealaich, lies on the northern shore. The shape of the loch, which is oriented from south west to north east, is complex. The inner, eastern end has several inlets.

Keills Chapel

Keills Chapel is a small chapel located in the west Highlands, Scotland, near the village of Tayvallich, Knapdale. Its name originates from the word keeill. The re-roofed structure contains an important collection of early stone sculpture, including six early Christian cross-slabs, around forty late medieval grave slabs recovered from the chapel or churchyard, and a celtic cross which originally stood outside the chapel where a modern blank replacement now stands.

Tayvallich

Tayvallich (Scottish Gaelic: Taigh a' Bhealaich), pronounced "Tay-vee-al-ich", is a small village in the Knapdale area of Argyll and Bute, in Scotland. The village name has its origins in Gaelic, and means the "house of the pass". The village is built around a sheltered harbour on Loch Sween. It has a primary school, small caravan park, pub and village store. The local economy is based on tourism and fishing.

Danna, Scotland

Danna Island is a tidal island in Argyll and Bute. It is connected to the mainland by a stone causeway and is at the southern end of the narrow Tayvallich peninsula, which separates Loch Sween from the Sound of Jura. It is part of the Ulva, Danna and the MacCormaig Isles SSSI. Danna is part of the Knapdale National Scenic Area, one of 40 in Scotland.
