Shingletown Airport
Shingletown Airport was a public-use airport located three miles (5 km) northeast of Shingletown, in Shasta County, California, United States. This general aviation airport covers an area of 120 acres and has one runway. Effective October 1, 2002, the airport was closed indefinitely due to the decayed condition of the unmaintained tarmac. Today, the airstrip serves the community as the site for a large annual star party each summer.

Manzanita Lake
Manzanita Lake is a lake located in Lassen Volcanic National Park. Located near the park entrance, the lake is open for fishing and has rainbow, brown and brook trout. Manzanita Lake was formed when Manzanita Creek was dammed 300 years ago by a rock avalanche from the northwest slope of the Chaos Crags, which also resulted in the debris formation known as Chaos Jumbles.

Shingletown is a small town located along California State Route 44 in the hills just below Mount Lassen. Shingletown has a history of logging large timber including pine, fir and cedar. It is also known as "The Gateway to Lassen".
