Lake McClure

Lake McClure is an artificial lake in western Mariposa County, California, about 40 miles east of Modesto. It is formed by the New Exchequer Dam impounding the Merced River, a tributary of the San Joaquin River. The lake was first created by the original Exchequer Dam, built between 1924 and 1926, a concrete gravity arch dam. Exchequer Reservoir's original capacity was 281,000 acre·ft .

Don Pedro Reservoir

Don Pedro Reservoir is an artificial lake formed by the construction of the New Don Pedro Dam across the Tuolumne River in the Stanislaus National Forest of Tuolumne County, California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Communities located nearby are Moccasin and La Grange. Also referenced as Don Pedro Lake when the name is qualified, the first projects in 1923 are generally referred to as the Old Don Pedro Dam and reservoir, and the 1971 upgrades are the New Don Pedro Dam and reservoir.

Don Pedro Dam

The Don Pedro Dam, since 1971 also known as the Old Don Pedro Dam, was a dam across the Tuolumne River in Tuolumne County, California. The structure is currently flooded underneath Don Pedro Reservoir, which is formed by the New Don Pedro Dam. It was a solid concrete gravity dam that was 283 ft high, 1,000 ft wide, 16 ft thick at the crest, and 170 ft thick at the base.
