The Owens Valley Solar Array (OVSA) is an astronomical radio telescope array with main interests in studying the physics of the Sun. The instruments of the observatory are designed and employed specifically for studying the activities and phenomena of our solar system's sun. Other solar dedicated instruments operated on the site include the Solar Radio Burst Locator (SRBL), the FASR Subsystem Testbed (FST), and the Korean SRBL (KSRBL).

OVRO 40 meter Telescope

The OVRO 40 meter Telescope is part of the Owens Valley Radio Observatory located near Big Pine, California, USA. The telescope was dedicated in 1968 and since then it has been used to conduct interferometric observations along with the other telescopes in the observatory, as a Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) station and as a single dish instrument. Its main focus today is on the monitoring of blazars.

Owens Valley Radio Observatory

Owens Valley Radio Observatory (OVRO) is a radio astronomy observatory located near Big Pine, California (USA) in Owens Valley. It lies east of the Sierra Nevada approximately 350 kilometers north of Los Angeles and 20 kilometers southeast of Bishop. It was established in 1958, and is owned and operated by the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). One of the ten dish antennas of the Very Long Baseline Array is immediately adjacent to, but not part of, the observatory.

KBOV

KBOV is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format to the Bishop, California, USA area. The station is currently owned by Great Country Broadcasting, Inc. and features programing from ABC Radio. Signed on in 1953 as KIBS. Was only radio station in Bishop until it launched KIBS-FM in 1967. FM failed and went dark in 1969. Resurrected under the ownership of former KIBS DJ Roy Mayhugh in 1974 as KIOQ.
