Thompson International Speedway

Thompson International Speedway in Thompson, Connecticut, USA, is a ⁄8-mile paved oval racetrack that was once known as the Indianapolis of the East. It was the first asphalt-paved racing oval track in the United States and is now under the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series banner. Annhurst College

Annhurst College was a private Catholic college in South Woodstock, Connecticut. The college's curriculum was career-focused. It was founded by Mother Louis du Sacré-Coeur, D.H.S. , the Provincial of the American Province of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in 1940 as an all women's college. The college was officially dedicated on September 23, 1941 as Ker-Anna Junior College and changed its name two years later.
