Daniel Hand High School

Daniel Hand High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Madison, Connecticut, serving grades 9 - 12, with an enrollment of approximately 1,276 students. The football team, who play their games at the Surf Club's Strong Field, have won 11 state championships having last won the Class L CIAC Championship at Rentschler Field over Windsor in 2012. Bear Island (Connecticut)

Bear Island is one of the Thimble Islands off Stony Creek, a section of Branford, Connecticut, USA. It is the site to a former granite quarry, which exported high-quality pink granite to such constructions as the Lincoln Memorial, Grant's Tomb and the base of the Statue of Liberty. The famous Stony Creek granite is still quarried in Stony Creek.
