Wakulla Springs is located 14 miles south of Tallahassee, Florida and 5 miles east of Crawfordville in Wakulla County, Florida at the crossroads of State Road 61 and State Road 267. It is protected in the Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park.

Fort Stansbury

Fort Stansbury was a frontier outpost created during the Seminole War (1835—1842) as well as used during the Civil War. The fort was located south of Tallahassee, Florida, and a few miles north of Wakulla Springs. This is inland from St. Marks, Florida. It was headquarters for the 3rd Regiment of the U.S. Infantry.
