Waldo is a city in Alachua County, Florida, United States. According to the 2010 Census the population was 1,015, up 194 or 23.63% from the 2000 census. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's 2004 estimates, the city had a population of 784. The city has received national attention and earned the ominous distinction of being one of only two official speed traps designated by the American Automobile Association (the other being Lawtey a few miles to the north)http://www. aaasouth.

Santa Fe River (Florida)

The Santa Fe River is a 75-mile river in northern Florida. The watershed of the river is approximately 1,380 square miles and spreads across southern Columbia, southern Suwannee, western Bradford, far southern Baker, Union, northern and eastern Gilchrist, and northern Alachua counties. The headwaters of the river are Lake Santa Fe, near Keystone Heights. The Santa Fe River is usually a slow-flowing river.

Santa Fe Swamp

The Santa Fe Swamp is 95-percent floodplain 7,046-acre swamp. Along with Lake Santa Fe and Little Lake Santa Fe, it serves as headwaters of the Santa Fe River, which drains into the Suwannee River and then finally the Gulf of Mexico. It is located to the north of those lakes in Bradford County and Alachua County in Florida.
