Grayson, Louisiana

Grayson is a village in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 531 at the 2000 census. Grayson has an elementary school, but high school students attend the nearby Caldwell Parish High School in the parish seat of Columbia. Across from the elementary school and the Grayson Town Hall is Grayson United Methodist Church, with pastor Dorothy Smith (2012). The Grayson Baptist Church is just west of U.S. Highway 165; its current pastor is Rick Crandell (2012).

Olla, Louisiana

Olla is a municipality in northwest La Salle Parish, Louisiana, United States. Olla has a federally recognized downtown Historic District. The population was 1,617 at the 2010 census. Olla is the site of the annual Central Louisiana Bluegrass Festival each April and to the Olla Homecoming Celebration that coincides with the local high school Homecoming each Fall.

The parish seat is Columbia and as of 2010, the population was 10,132, a decrease of 428 over the 2000 tabulation of 10,560. The parish is 81 percent white. Most residents live in the country even beyond the three rural communities in the parish.
