Los Adaes

Los Adaes was the capital of Tejas on the northeastern frontier of New Spain from 1729 to 1770. It included a mission, San Miguel de Linares de los Adaes, and a presidio, Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Los Adaes (Our Lady of Pilar of the Adaes). The site is located in the present-day Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. The Los Adaes State Historic Site preserves the site. It has been designated a National Historic Landmark, the highest honor for a landmark on the National Register of Historic Places.

Robeline is a village in western Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 183 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Natchitoches Micropolitan Statistical Area. According to a 2007 report, Robeline was named one of the 10 worst speed traps in the state of Louisiana. Robeline made 85.73% of its revenue, an average of roughly $1,517 per capita population, from fines and forfeitures in the 2005 fiscal year.

Natchitoches Parish (French: Paroisse des Natchitoches) is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The parish seat is Natchitoches. As of 2010, the Natchitoches Parish population was 39,566, an increase of 486 over the 2000 tabulation of 39,080. The parish is nearly 42 percent African American. This is the heart of the Cane River Louisiana Creole community. The Natchitoches Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Natchitoches Parish.
