Ticonderoga High School

Ticonderoga High School is a historic high school building located at Ticonderoga in Essex County, New York. It was built in 1928-1930 and is a three story, masonry neo-Georgian style building with a slate roof, concrete foundation, and brick walls. It features a semi-circular portico with Corinthian order columns and a balustrade and a copper polygonal cupola. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Ticonderoga Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) northeast of the central business district of Ticonderoga, a town in Essex County, New York, United States. It is owned by the Town of Ticonderoga. This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.

Crown Point is a town in Essex County, New York, USA. The population was 2,024 at the 2010 census. The name of the town is a direct translation of the original French name, "Point au Chevalure. " The Town of Crown Point is on the eastern edge of the county. It is 39 miles southwest of Burlington, VT, 44 miles north-northeast from Queensbury, NY, 108 miles south of Montreal, Quebec, and 90 miles north of Albany, New York.

Mount Defiance (New York)

Mount Defiance is an 853 ft high hill on the New York side of Lake Champlain, in the northeastern United States. It is notable in that the hill militarily dominates both Fort Ticonderoga and Fort Independence, but it was deemed inaccessible so never fortified. Mount Defiance was previously known as Sugar Loaf. In the 1777 Siege of Fort Ticonderoga, the British army succeeded in positioning artillery on Mount Defiance, causing the Americans to withdraw from both forts without a fight.
