Berry Botanic Garden

Berry Botanic Garden was a botanical garden in southwest Portland, Oregon, in the United States. In addition to large collections of alpine plants, rhododendrons, primulas, lilies, it was known for its plant-conservation program and its large seed bank that protects rare or endangered plants of the Pacific Northwest. The seed bank, formally established in 1983, was thought to be the first in the U.S. that was devoted entirely to preserving rare native plants.

Oregon Sports Hall of Fame

The Oregon Sports Hall of Fame honors Oregon athletes, teams, coaches, and others who have made a significant contribution to sports in Oregon. The first class was inducted in 1980, with new inductees added in the fall. Operated by the Oregon Sports Trust, the museum is currently closed in preparation for moving to another facility.

Wiley's Seaplane Port

Wiley's Seaplane Port is a seaplane base on the Willamette River in Lake Oswego, Oregon, within the Portland metropolitan area. It was activated in March 1979, and run by Dave Wiley for nearly 30 years. Wiley, a founder of the Columbia Seaplane Pilots Association, was one of two pilots killed in a Willamette River floatplane crash on July 28, 2007.

Sellwood, Portland, Oregon

Sellwood-Moreland is a neighborhood on a bluff overlooking the Willamette River in Southeast Portland, Oregon, bordering Westmoreland to the north, Eastmoreland to the east, and the city of Milwaukie to the south. Sellwood originated as an independent city, as a rival of nearby early Portland on the 1,320-acre Donation Land Claim of Reverend John Sellwood, who sold the claim in 1882 to the Sellwood Real Estate Company.
