Charles and Anna Drain House

The Charles and Anna Drain House, 500 South Main Street, Drain, Oregon, was commissioned by Charles Douglas Drain (b. March 2, 1861, d. March 1, 1910) the youngest son of town founder Charles Drain. Completed in 1895, the house is a prominent example of Queen Anne style architecture in Drain. The owners selected architect George Franklin Barber's Cottage Souvenir No. 2 - design number 37. Currently, the Drain school district headquarters are at the house.

Elkton High School (Oregon)

Elkton High School (EHS) is a public high school in Elkton, Oregon, United States. It is part of the Elkton School District and is the only high school in Elkton. Recently it became a charter school and is now accepting students from all over Douglas County either online or through in-class participation. They have received grants and extra funding to be used to help students graduate from Elkton High School and to further their education.

Fort Umpqua

Fort Umpqua was a trading post built by the Hudson's Bay Company in the company's Columbia District, in what is now the U.S. state of Oregon. It was first established in 1832 and moved and rebuilt in 1836. Fort Umpqua was first established in 1832 at the confluence of Calapooya Creek and the Umpqua River. In 1836 it was moved and rebuilt on the south bank of the Umpqua River near the mouth of Elk Creek, at present-day Elkton, Oregon.
