Chiltons, Virginia

Chiltons is an unincorporated community in Westmoreland County, in the U. S. state of Virginia. Chiltons is located approximately one mile east of Stratford Hall, seat of the famous Lee family. The property for Stratford Hall was not purchased until 1717. Robert E. Lee, born 1807, was well aware of Chiltons and neighbors named Chilton by an early age. This case had interesting consequences in Richmond, VA when it was the capital of the Confederacy.

Hinnom, Virginia

Hinnom is an unincorporated community in Westmoreland County, in the Commonwealth (U.S. state) of Virginia. It lies about five miles from Montross, Virginia, at the end of Zacata Road (Route 645), and consists of the region south of Nomini Bay and west of Nomini Creek. It no longer has a Post Office or a ferry landing.
