Bigga, New South Wales

Bigga is a village in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia, in Upper Lachlan Shire. It is in the Parish of Bigga, County of Georgiana. As of 2006, the village had a population of 193 people. The name Bigga is thought to originate as a shortened version of the Biggs Grant. Bigga is on the western side of the Abercrombie Mountains. It is 91 km northwest of Goulburn and 52 km southeast of Cowra. Nearby towns are: Abercrombie, Binda, Greenmantle, Grabine, Reids Flat, and Tuena.

Crookwell River

Crookwell River, a watercourse that is part of the Lachlan catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the Southern Tablelands and South West Slopes districts of New South Wales, Australia. The river rises south of Crookwell and flows generally north–west by west, joined by one minor tributary, before reaching its confluence with the Lachlan River north–west of Binda and east of Frogmore; dropping 461 metres over its course of 78 kilometres .

Tuena, New South Wales

Tuena is a town in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia in Upper Lachlan Shire. It is located on Tuena Creek, tributary of the Abercrombie River, 269 kilometres west of the state capital, Sydney. Only nine months after the first payable discovery of gold in Austraia at Ophir (start of the Australian gold rushes), gold was found at Tuena.

Reids Flat is a small historic village (population 50) sited on the south bank of the Lachlan River, approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Wyangala Dam, in the northeastern corner of Boorowa Shire, in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, hidden in the Great Dividing Range. The village – now largely a quiet residential area – no longer has any commercial establishments within its boundaries; the nearest shop is located 22 kilometres away, in the town of Bigga.
